After working hard and successfully completing kindergarten, preschool, high school or college, students look forward to having a graduation ceremony. They can graduate in style by switching their graduation tassels from one side of the cap to the other. The graduation hat tassel is made of a collection of light weight strings bond to one piece. It may come in single or multiple colors but they normally have the year of graduation decoration attached to them. The multiple color tassels such as black and white or plain white, burgundy and gold are mostly used for elementary and high school graduation ceremonies. College graduation ceremonies on the other hand prefer to issue black
to undergraduate seniors who have fulfilled all the requirements to receive a bachelor degree. Doctorate students mean while are the only graduates who get to attach a gold colored tassel to the center button of their graduation tam. However, graduation tassel have a color code reserved for various fields of study at the college level. Prospective graduates are therefore given a chance to swap their black tassel with a white one if they are getting a degree in art. Engineering students get orange tassel, library science have a lemon one while philosophy graduates attach a dark blue tassel on their graduation cap.
